Winter 2006 Fair Trade Speaker Tour Speaker Profiles

Mr. Bunsong Matkhao, a farmer from the Fair Trade Network in Yasothorn province, is a Thai Farmer representative of La Via Campesina, the international farmers organization, and has spoken throughout Southeast Asia about the threat free trade agreements (FTAs) pose to small-scale farmers worldwide.

Mr. Presong Seesa-ard, a farmer from the Fair Trade Network in Surin Province, is a local leader within the Alternative Agriculture Network (AAN), and has traveled on farmer delegations throughout Southeast Asia.

Mr. Chris Westcott is the International Education Director for ENGAGE in San Francisco, CA and organized the tour on the United States side. He also served as the translator for the tour.

Ms. Kyra Busch is now the Global Action Director for ENGAGE in San Francisco, CA. Prior to joining the ENGAGE Team in San Francisco, Kyra coordinated the tour from the Thailand side.
